Now the same image except I broke the render into layers using Mask and Multipass Toolbox www.daz3d.com/mask-and-multipa… Making layer masks I worked from the back forward so I could add some Photoshop Fog and Smoke Brush work. Each Brush stroke had one layer each and some where set to Exclusion Layer Blend mode to add some variation. Then I blurred each smoke and fog layer according to the DOF present. While I was making masks inside DS (oh yeah I had to revert all the surfaces back to 3DL defaults to make the masks and set the render engine to 3DL) I made one for the front terrain that emerges from the water so I could darken the edge more easily where it meets the water.
